Kolkata is eastern India's commercial centre, with long-standing trading houses, a serious education sector, and a cultural life that supports publishers, galleries, boutiques, handloom sellers and a famous food and sweets trade.
A lot of Kolkata businesses went online early and have not rebuilt since. The result is a site made for desktop screens that is awkward on a phone, slow on mobile data and hard to update. A redesign here is usually less about a new look and more about making an existing, respected business easy to deal with from a phone.

Questions from Kolkata clients
Our website works on a computer but not on a phone. Can it be fixed without starting over?
Sometimes. If the underlying code is sound, it can be made responsive. If it is very old, a rebuild is usually quicker and gives a better result. I will tell you which after looking at it.
Can you design for a boutique or handloom brand?
Yes. Before moving into web design I worked in e-commerce for a saree business, so textile product presentation is familiar ground.
Will we lose our old content in a redesign?
No. Existing content is reviewed and carried across, and old page addresses are redirected to their new equivalents.
