About Hasnain Ansari

I am Hasnain Ansari, a freelance web designer and website developer based in Delhi, with three years in the industry. I also work as an AI graphic designer at Multybyte, where my role spans design, social media, web design and web development.

I did not start in code. My earlier roles were in website management, e-commerce and social media for retail businesses in Varanasi, which meant years of looking at websites from the owner's side: what customers ask, where they give up, which product photo actually sells. That background shapes how I build.

A website is read before it is admired. So I begin with what a visitor needs to know and in what order, and only then decide how it should look. Typography and spacing carry most of the design; colour and effects are used sparingly.

UI and UX

For interfaces that people use to get work done, I list the tasks first and design the shortest route through each one. Empty states, errors and mobile behaviour are designed deliberately, not left to chance.

Responsive design

I design the phone layout first. If a page works on a small screen with a thumb, expanding it for a laptop is straightforward. The reverse is rarely true.

I write HTML, CSS and JavaScript by hand. Avoiding page builders and plugin stacks keeps sites fast and makes them easier to maintain years later.

When a project needs more than static pages, such as an admin panel, logins or stored data, I add a backend. My own portfolio runs this way: a static site on Netlify with Supabase behind it for authentication, data and server functions.

E-commerce

Having managed online catalogues and marketplace listings myself, I treat a store as a selling tool first. Product presentation, clear information and a short path to checkout come before decoration. For most stores I set up Shopify.

Graphic design is the other half of my work: brand visuals, social content and layout. On a web project that means you are not handed a well-coded site with weak visuals, or the reverse.

I use AI tools in my creative workflow, mainly for visual exploration, image generation and speeding up production work. They are tools, not a substitute for judgment: every design decision and every line that ships is reviewed by me.

I take on business websites, portfolios, online stores, landing pages, redesigns and web applications. Recent work includes a staff task system and a vendor purchasing tool alongside brand and business websites.

Freelance projects are handled by me directly, start to finish. I work remotely with clients across India and can meet in person in Delhi NCR. How remote projects work.
